Share
Are you considering upgrading your MINI R or MINI F Series with carbon fiber wide arches? This detailed installation guide will walk you through the process, providing step-by-step fitting instructions along with photos and videos of the final result.

⚠️ Important Note: This installation involves modifications to your car’s body. If you’re unsure, consult a professional for proper fitment
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Step 1: Removing Standard Wheel Arches
1️⃣ Lift the car and remove the wheels.
2️⃣ Take off the inner wheel arch liners (carpets) for easier access.
3️⃣ Unclip the original wheel arches by carefully pushing the clips out from their holes. (You can use pliers to help).
4️⃣ Before painting the new wide arches (if you buy the unpainted version), test-fit them to ensure they align perfectly with the body.
📌 Pro Tip: If any clearance issues are present, minor adjustments may be needed before final installation.

Step 2: Special Fitment Notes for MINI R55 Clubman
The rear arches on the MINI R55 Clubman require extra work:
1️⃣ The arches may appear 3 cm too wide at first. |

2️⃣ Use a heat gun to gently warm and reshape them. |

3️⃣ Adjust them gradually until they sit flush with the body. |

📌 Caution: Do not overheat the carbon fiber, as excessive heat may damage the material.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Step 3: Cutting the Fenders for Extra Clearance
Now that the wide arches fit properly, it’s time to prepare the body for installation.
1️⃣ Mark the cutting area – You need to trim 0.5 cm off the original arch mounting holes.

📌 For extreme fitment (air suspension, wider wheels):
• Additional trimming may be required at the rear fenders.
• You can bend the factory mounting holes instead of cutting them to allow for a reversible installation.

Step 4: Preparing the Wide Arches for Installation
Before installing the freshly painted wide arches, you need to apply adhesive:
1️⃣ Use 3M double-sided tape or windshield bonding glue. |
